Xavier The X-Man’s Cruise for the Cause, the family-friendly car show hosted by Magic 92.5 DJ Xavier The X-Man, will return for its 21st year Sunday at the Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista. Please register so we have an accurate count for food and beverages. Also, please share with anyone enthusiastic about our cause. This event is open to anyone who would enjoy the occasion. Xavier The X-Man® is on Magic 92.5 weekdays from 10am-3pm, and hosts the Sunday Night Oldies show! He has lived in San Diego since 2000 and was named Citizen of the Year in 2016 with an official proclamation for “Xavier The X-Man Day” on Sept. 16th.

Funds raised by Cruise for the Cause will be supporting NT blokes to be a part of clinical trials, one of which is already underway. 1 in 5 men in the NT are diagnosed at stages three or four – when prostate cancer is harder to beat (most of these men will benefit massively from lutetium and our clinical trial). This event, held on the Avalon, of the Stillwater Riverboats, allows interactions in an outdoor environment as well as indoor spaces in case of rain. Our two and a half hour voyage along the beautiful St. Croix River is a fun, relaxing way to spend the evening while raising money for a good cause.

We will have honorary judges from the community granting recognition awards in different “fun” categories (i.e. CC with most participants, furthest distance traveled to participate). The X-Man’s ‘Cruise for the Cause’ to Benefit Emilio Nares Foundation Returns to Chula Vista
The event was founded in 2002 as a meet-up of a handful of car clubs organized by “The X-Man” and has grown to a display of hundreds of vehicles including lowriders, bikes, motorcycles, trucks and customs. The free event also has live music from local talent, a Red Cross Blood Mobile for blood donations, “Be the Match” national bone-marrow registry and activities for children. There are around 900 men alive today in the Northern Territory, who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. (since records began) Sadly, statistically, we in the NT have one of the highest mortality rates in Australia.

The cruise includes a dinner, cash bar, raffle and updates from researchers and staff at the University of Minnesota. With your support, MKCCR has raised over $1 million since its inception, funding 14 major research projects. Please join us on Thursday, June 20th, 2024 for our Cruise for a Cause on the St. Croix River. Mezin-Koats Colon Cancer Research, in partnership with Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota, is gathering friends and families to promote further discoveries in the fight to end colon cancer.

Our mission is to make life better for those less fortunate by enhancing fundraising for charities and non-profit organizations. Cruise For A Cause is a unique fundraiser for charities. My car show will once again feature hundreds of vehicles, live entertainment, fun activities for the kids, vendor booths, and more.
Dan Neve has always been a Mustang enthusiast - it was when he had seen the new 2010 Shelby GT500 he knew that he wanted one to add to his collection. Then life happened when Dan's mother and wife were diagnosed with breast cancer about one month apart. It was as if the Ford has a better Idea light bulb went on and he knew that he had to do something. So early in 2010 while his wife was going through surgerys, Dan purchased his Mustang Shelby GT 500 and decided to use it to help make a difference and raise awareness. Displaying hundreds of vehicles Cruise For The Cause includes all types of cars.
The funds raised at this event go directly to support a senior at risk. I’m as excited as ever for our community to come together at Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista and help the children who need it most. Also, don’t forget to sign up to donate blood and register for “Be The Match” Bone Marrow registry. My show will once again feature hundreds of vehicles, live entertainment, fun activities for the kids, vendor booths, and a Blood & Bone Marrow Drive. Asking for donations and sponsorships he was able to raise $10,000 that first (and he thought only) year of fundraising. But once Ford had asked him to display the car at SEMA things changed (for the good) and Cruise for a Cause and our 501c 3 non profit began.

A total of 450 cars were registered at this year’s event where $20,000 was raised. This year’s event also brought awareness to other important causes, including donating blood and getting on the bone marrow registry. Over the past decade, the team at Cruise for a Cause has engaged and empowered others to participate in extra special philanthropic events. We have altruistically raised thousands of dollars for non-profit organizations all over the country.
